Why I Had to Break Up with Dave Ramsey's ELP Service: A Personal Experience

As someone who has been a Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) since 2012, I have had the privilege of connecting with like-minded individuals who are seeking to improve their financial situation and create a better life for themselves. However, over the years, the ELP program has undergone significant changes and I have decided to part ways with Dave Ramsey.

For many years, being an ELP was a profitable and successful partnership. People who knew and trusted Dave Ramsey would reach out to me after hearing his recommendation on his radio program. The model was simple - Dave would connect people with his trusted providers and we would receive a portion of the commission from any real estate sales.

However, as Dave Ramsey has started working towards a succession plan, the ELP program has shifted its focus away from the connection to Dave and towards internet lead generation. This year, more than 60% of the people who contacted me had no prior knowledge of Dave or his teachings on finance. This disconnect has changed the value of the ELP program for me and my business.

While I have nothing against Dave and the work he does, I have found that the ELP program no longer aligns with my business model. The partnership has changed, and it simply didn't fit my needs anymore. I want to be transparent and share my experience with you so you can make an informed decision when considering the ELP program, which is now rebranded as "Ramsey Trusted."

In conclusion, while Dave Ramsey's teachings on finance are valuable, I had to make the difficult decision to part ways with his ELP program. I hope my experience can help others who are considering becoming an ELP.
